0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isaac Gonzales! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gonzales gets caught flat footed, as Bird shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Bird loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Gonzales avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bird trying to control but Gonzales is working from the bottom. Bird slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gonzales throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bird passes Gonzales's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bird is working for a submission of some sort.
