Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiro Protagonist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tom Sawyer - Rush. Jesper Rush has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hiro Protagonist!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush slips a jab and a cross from Protagonist.
Rush fails with the takedown.
Rush misses with a wild body shot.
Protagonist misses with a body shot.
Rush keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Protagonist.
Rush thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rush fails to land the takedown.
Protagonist lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Protagonist pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Protagonist throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rush.
Rush fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Protagonist avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesper Rush. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Protagonist misses with an uppercut. Rush saw that one coming.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Protagonist.
Rush uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Protagonist.
Protagonist throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Protagonist misses with a series of wild punches.
Protagonist scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rush in his tracks.
Protagonist throws a lazy right hand but Rush sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rush is defended easily by Protagonist.
A slow jab from Protagonist misses its intended target.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Protagonist misses with the combination.
Rush moves out of range as Protagonist strikes.
Rush goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Protagonist scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rush doesn't seem bothered though.
Rush bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Protagonist can't do much from the bottom here.
Rush controlling the position from side mount.
Protagonist is not content to let Rush control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Protagonist tries to bench press Rush off him but Rush keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Protagonist struggling a bit here.
Rush has control of an arm but Protagonist manages to advance to Rush's back!
Rush sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Protagonist taps out!
