Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Osama Bin Laden!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bin Laden avoids it really well and circles away.
Shop shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bin Laden as he jumps to the side.
Shop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bin Laden as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Shop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bin Laden thows a body shot but no joy.
Bin Laden throws a nice inside leg kick.
Bin Laden leaves Shop with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Bin Laden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bin Laden is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Shop is looking for a triangle here but Bin Laden uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Bin Laden grinds an elbow into Shop's temple.
Bin Laden passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Shop!

Bin Laden controlling from mount.
Bin Laden pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bin Laden scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Shop?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bin Laden cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Shop really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Shop in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Bin Laden with shots to the head and body - Shop looks very uncomfortable down there.
Bin Laden landing strikes from the mount.
Bin Laden lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Shop hang on?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee warns Shop that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bin Laden stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Shop is looking to clinch but Bin Laden is avoiding it.

Bin Laden closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shop to the mat! Shop manages to get full guard.
Shop is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shop is looking for a triangle but Bin Laden pushes his legs off easily.
Bin Laden wants to stand but Shop is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bin Laden is stalling in the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bin Laden decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shop, up you get!

Bin Laden shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bin Laden showed some decent athleticism there.
Shop has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bin Laden is working away from the top position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shop moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Shop pushes a forearm under Bin Laden's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bin Laden is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). David Shop!
