Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Sabotka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Wellington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dexter Wellington told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergei Sabotka! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dexter Wellington! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wellington scores with a shot to the body.
Sabotka moves out of range as Wellington strikes. Wellington ducks under a wild hook from Sabotka. No joy there for Wellington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wellington keeps the fight on the outside. Wellington throws a nice looking combination but Sabotka bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wellington scores with a jab to the head.
Sabotka throws a head kick that misses. Wellington connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Sabotka has Wellington up against the cage in a clinch.
Sabotka works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Nice elbow from Sabotka. Sabotka is leaning against Wellington and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Sabotka lands a body shot. Wellington's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wellington wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Wellington tries to circle away but Sabotka has him pinned against the cage. A right hand to the body from Sabotka.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wellington looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Wellington looks gassed! Sabotka lands a damaging elbow. A short right from Sabotka on the inside. Wellington wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wellington takes a knee to the side of the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sabotka is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Sabotka successfully pulls guard.
Sabotka had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wellington is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sabotka Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wellington's back instead. Wellington is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Sabotka.
Wellington really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sabotka. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sabotka looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Wellington grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wellington showing good submission defense here.

Sabotka is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Wellington is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Wellington tries to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sabotka thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. Wellington looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sabotka trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sabotka looking for the choke but no joy. Sabotka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wellington manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sabotka's guard. Nice work there by Wellington.
Wellington postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Sabotka is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Wellington has his hands clasped together but Sabotka extends an breaks Wellington's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Sabotka.
