Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Miuk Yochida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy DeMora (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miuk Yochida! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Troy DeMora! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeMora tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. DeMora misses with a low kick as Yochida jumps back. Yochida closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Yochida tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. DeMora is looking to regain half guard here but Yochida keeps moving and retains side control. Yochida takes a little break here. DeMora wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. DeMora tries to get back to half guard but can't. DeMora gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yochida is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Yochida is looking for a kimura but DeMora is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yochida to get the leverage. DeMora is looking to control Yochida's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can DeMora avoid being mounted? DeMora is looking to improve his position.
DeMora wants to get back to full guard but Yochida has mounted him! DeMora tries to hold on but Yochida pushes him away. Yochida misses with some ground and pound and DeMora recovers position to half guard. DeMora is trying is best to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yochida prevents DeMora from improving his position. DeMora is looking to escape. DeMora keeps control of the position for the meantime. Yochida tries to pass the half guard into mount. DeMora knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Yochida trying to control from half guard but DeMora is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeMora wants to improve his position but Yochida is controlling well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. DeMora fails with the takedown and Yochida counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for DeMora! DeMora looks gassed! Yochida controlling his opponent. DeMora tries to hold on but Yochida postures up. DeMora is looking to improve his position but Yochida isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeMora is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Yochida content just to control the position here. Yochida avoids the attempt from DeMora to control. DeMora is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Miuk Yochida dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Yochida gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and DeMora counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by DeMora. DeMora looking to pass the guard. DeMora wants to control from the top but Yochida keeps moving. DeMora looking to sit in guard and control but Yochida gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Yochida content to stall in guard here. DeMora looking to sweep here. No luck so far. DeMora is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeMora manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yochida manages to get himself to full guard.
DeMora trying to control the position from guard on top but Yochida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yochida working for a triangle but DeMora defends it easily.
DeMora looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Yochida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. DeMora gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeMora pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yochida is keeping the position for now. DeMora wants to control from the top but Yochida keeps moving. Yochida is trying to keep DeMora in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. DeMora stays in close to Yochida's body and controls the position. Yochida wants to sweep here but DeMora controlling him for the moment. Yochida is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Yochida doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Yochida moves into range and clinches up with DeMora. DeMora gets underhooks to prevent Yochida's takedown attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Yochida drops down looking for an ankle pick but DeMora pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miuk Yochida. That's going to take a lot out of him. DeMora closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. DeMora takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Yochida blocking the ground and pound attempt from DeMora. DeMora trying to control from half guard but Yochida is working away. DeMora trying to pass the guard but Yochida defending well. Yochida is pressing down on DeMora's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Troy DeMora showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Yochida is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Yochida trying to control the position from guard on top but DeMora is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yochida won't allow DeMora to sweep him here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. DeMora working for a triangle but Yochida defends it easily.

DeMora is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! DeMora has escaped and now he's on top! DeMora trying to control the position from guard on top but Yochida is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yochida trying to strike off his back.
DeMora is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Yochida is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. DeMora slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Yochida tries to bench press DeMora off him but DeMora keeps the position. DeMora wants to control but Yochida is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. DeMora shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Yochida can't escape the position.
DeMora takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Yochida looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! DeMora trying to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yochida is trying to get back to his feet but DeMora has full control of the position and if anything, Yochida has just worked his way into a worse spot. DeMora controlling from the back. Will DeMora go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
DeMora throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Yochida tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! DeMora with shots to the head and body - Yochida looks very uncomfortable down there. Yochida tries to lock up and control but DeMora gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but Miuk Yochida did the better work so I'd imagine he'll take it. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Yochida misses with a takedown and DeMora counters with a shoot takedown. Yochida fights it but they end up in guard. Yochida is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. DeMora looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Yochida working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from DeMora. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Yochida being controlled here, momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeMora trying to control but Yochida is working from the bottom. Yochida can't keep his opponent in guard - DeMora advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Yochida wants to control but DeMora is keeping busy.

He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for DeMora! DeMora is looking to improve his position but Yochida isn't that keen on the idea. Yochida moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, DeMora has worked his arm free - good work by DeMora!
Yochida throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeMora is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Yochida is just content to waste time from the top position. DeMora takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. DeMora is looking to sweep but instead, Yochida has passed into half guard.

Troy DeMora dominated that fourth round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Yochida struggling a bit here. DeMora taking a breather here. DeMora tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no DeMora has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! DeMora trying to control the action but Yochida is working from the bottom. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yochida is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. DeMora working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Yochida wants to control but DeMora postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. DeMora tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

And that's the end of the fight! Troy DeMora comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think DeMora has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
