Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jefferson Lancelot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jefferson Lancelot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dave Dias!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lancelot misses with a body shot.
Lancelot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lancelot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dias tries to clinch up.
Lancelot misses with a body shot.
A punch combination from Lancelot misses.
Dias shoots for a double leg takedown but Lancelot sprawls well. He's pushed Dias's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dias closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lancelot circles away.
Dias moves out of range as Lancelot strikes.
Lancelot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dias was well out of range. Poor timing from Lancelot.
Dias is looking to clinch but Lancelot is avoiding it.
Lancelot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dias manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dias shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Dias was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

BOOM! Dias connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Dias wants to control the pace but Lancelot is squirming around nicely.
Dias pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Lancelot's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Dias throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Lancelot is desperately trying to improve his position but Dias has a good base and remains in mount.

I looks like Dias might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Lancelot is trying desperately to improve position.

Dias fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Lancelot tries to reverse the position but Dias maintains control.

Dias tries to score a body lock takedown but Lancelot shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Lancelot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dias closes the distance and clinches up with Lancelot, looking for a takedown. Dias pushes Lancelot against the cage but Lancelot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jefferson Lancelot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Dias.

Lancelot throws a right hand that Dias ducks under and follows up with a left that Dias also avoids with ease.

Dias throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lancelot's waist but Lancelot gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dias off to one side.
Lancelot doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Dave Dias is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Dias uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lancelot.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Dias closes the distance and clinches up with Lancelot, looking for a takedown. Dias pushes Lancelot against the cage but Lancelot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Dias, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Dias feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lancelot has an active guard here but Dias has managed to pass into half guard.
Dias wants to take a breather but Lancelot is having none of it.

Dias really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lancelot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lancelot escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dias gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dias stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lancelot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dias is pushing down on Lancelot's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lancelot is fighting to maintain full guard but Dias has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dias decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dias.
Dias lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lancelot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dias moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dias tries for a takedown but Lancelot sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dave Dias showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Dias changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lancelot looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dias is controlling the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. Lancelot manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Dias slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lancelot wants to sweep here but Dias controlling him for the moment.

Dias is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dias has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lancelot is proving hard to escape from.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Dias has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
