Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hawkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeppen Hel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hawkins comes into the arena with Cockney Rejects - I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Hawkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeppen Hel! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hawkins fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hel, pushing him back against the cage. Hawkins jumps guard.
Hel stopping the sweep attempt from Hawkins. Hawkins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hel stands up from Hawkins's guard - Hel perhaps looking for a knockout. Hel darts in trying to clinch and Hawkins counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hawkins. Hawkins pulls Hel into guard.
Hawkins is looking for a triangle but Hel pushes his legs off easily.
Hel trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hawkins's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hel wants to pass the guard but Hawkins is keeping the position. Hawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hawkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hawkins is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hawkins keeping moving, preventing Hel from controlling successfully. Hawkins keeping full guard, as Hel tries to pass. Hel postures up in Hawkins's guard and throws a big left but Hawkins blocks it. Hel passes Hawkins's left leg - he's now in half guard. Hel prevents Hawkins from improving his position. Hel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hel is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hel content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hawkins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hel's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hel's back! Hawkins is hanging on to Hel's back as he tries to escape.
Hawkins is persistently looking for the submission but Hel is defending it well.

Hawkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hel wants to control from the top but Hawkins keeps moving. Hawkins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hel is one step ahead there. Hawkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hawkins looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hawkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hel is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hawkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hel's back instead. Hel tries to escape the position.

Hel tries to free his leg and advance position but Hawkins is retaining full guard. Hawkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hel drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hawkins dives on top into guard. Hel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hawkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hawkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hel tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hawkins pushing down on Hel's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hel manages to get to full guard.
Hawkins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hawkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hawkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hawkins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hawkins gets to mount! Hel was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Hawkins prevents Hel from getting the reversal. Hel gets back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Hawkins dominated that round. That's time! Hawkins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hel looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hawkins is trying to control but can't.
Hawkins works his way to full guard. Good work. Hawkins is trying to keep Hel in close.
Hel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hawkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hawkins looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hel puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hawkins works his way to full guard. Good work. Hawkins has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Hel doesn't defend quickly enough and Hawkins has managed to lock this one up! Can Hel escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Hawkins on a fantastic submission victory.
