Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Perqelez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angel Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perqelez comes to the cage accompanied by cool caribbean beats. Angel Pain struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perqelez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Perqelez has managed to clinch.
Perqelez tries to land knees in the clinch but Pain avoids the damage to the body.
Pain scores with a knee to the head.
Pain jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Perqelez walks away with a smile on his face. Pain gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Perqelez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Pain gets caught flat footed, as Perqelez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perqelez is pushing down on Pain's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pain is fighting to maintain full guard but Perqelez has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perqelez works his way into full mount!
Perqelez cracks Pain with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
