Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Anthony!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hector Bonilla!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony forces Bonilla back against the cage and clinches.
Anthony breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bubba Anthony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anthony moves into range and clinches up with Bonilla.
Anthony's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Anthony tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Anthony is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Anthony moves into the clinch.
Bonilla has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anthony avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bonilla fails to pull guard.
Bonilla tries for a takedown but Anthony manages to get underhooks.
Bubba Anthony has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hector Bonilla.
A knee to the head by Anthony.
It looks like Hector Bonilla has been cut.
Anthony pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bonilla fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Anthony tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bonilla paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bonilla avoids the head kick by Anthony.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bonilla.
Anthony has closed the distance and engaged Bonilla in a clinch.
Anthony escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Anthony lands a head kick. Bonilla smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bonilla bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Anthony is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bonilla has an Americana. Anthony didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Bonilla is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Bonilla hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Hector Bonilla!
