Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JJ Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Soliman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soliman has chosen detox as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, JJ Sutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lawrence Soliman!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sutton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slow jab from Soliman misses its intended target.
Sutton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Soliman swivels and escapes.
Sutton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sutton tries for a takedown but Soliman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sutton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Soliman napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sutton tries to score with some ground and pound. Soliman controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Sutton goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Soliman has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Sutton but great work by Soliman.

Sutton manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Sutton is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Soliman pulls his head out easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sutton wants to improve his position but Soliman is controlling well.
Sutton won't allow Soliman to pass to mount.
Sutton is looking to improve his position.
Sutton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Sutton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Soliman swivels and escapes.
Sutton walks into a jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Soliman, as that shot connected.
Soliman lands a nice hook to Sutton's body. Sutton takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Soliman connects with a crisp jab.
Sutton on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Soliman sends Sutton crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Soliman is motioning to the referee to let Sutton up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!


Sutton is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Soliman misses with a jab, cross combination.
A solid body kick from Soliman.
Sutton ducks straight into an uppercut from Soliman and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Sutton maanges to regain guard straight away.
Oh Sutton is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sutton is looking for a triangle here but Soliman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Sutton seems to have got his legs back now.

Soliman stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nice uppercut there from Soliman.

Soliman is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Sutton takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Soliman lands a slapping body shot.
A right-left combo lands from Soliman.
Soliman throws a nice outside leg kick.
Soliman cracks Sutton with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Soliman moves into range and connects with a jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sutton takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Lawrence Soliman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sutton tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Sutton dodges the punch combination from Soliman.
Soliman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Soliman lands a jab-cross combination.
Soliman misses with a looping left.
Sutton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Soliman as he avoids it easily.

Sutton bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Soliman is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Soliman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Soliman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sutton wants to work for an arm triangle but Soliman is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Soliman seems keen to control Sutton's posture.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Soliman changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Sutton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sutton there as he acknowledges the shot.
Soliman is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Soliman thuds his right hand into Sutton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
A nice leg kick lands there from Soliman.
Soliman digs a good body shot into Sutton's ribs.

Sutton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Soliman pinned against the cage. Soliman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Soliman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sutton manages to avoid it.
Soliman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sutton momentarily.
Sutton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Soliman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Sutton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Soliman's waist but Soliman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sutton off to one side.

The crowd cheers as Soliman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sutton doesn't seem phased though.
A jab from Soliman finds it's way through Sutton's defenses.

Soliman connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sutton's hands.
Soliman scores with a hook to the body. Sutton takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Sutton takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Soliman lands a jab to Sutton's midsection.
Sutton takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lawrence Soliman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sutton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Soliman sprawls well initially but Sutton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Soliman is looking to control Sutton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Soliman avoid being mounted?
Sutton thows a huge punch but Soliman dodges it nicely.

Sutton drops back looking for a leg! Soliman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Soliman manages to kick Sutton off! Sutton jumps back into Soliman's guard.

Lawrence Soliman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Soliman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
