Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wes Sims (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cru Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sims's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminem, Xzibit, & Nate Dogg - Say My Name. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Cru Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wes Sims! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cru Jones! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sims will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Sims throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sims sizes up Jones with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
It looks like Cru Jones has been cut. Jones takes a body punch but keeps moving. Sims throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range. No joy there for Sims, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sims throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and moves out of range. Sims tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Sims swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Some wild striking there from Sims.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sims lands a lovely overhand right. Sims misses with the combination.
Sims looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well. Sims lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Sims lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Jones sprawling to the canvas. Sims follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Jones hang on?
That has opened up Cru Jones's cut even more. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sims throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jones gets full guard. Sims showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sims defends well. Jones looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sims gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Sims gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Jones shoots in but no luck this time. Sims darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Wes Sims seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sims connects with a crisp jab.
The cut above Cru Jones's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Sims moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Sims's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jones keeps control of Sims as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sims is trying to break the clinch but Jones is controlling him.

Sims drops Jones with a right and a left! Sims comes rushing in but Jones regains his composure and manages to keep Sims in guard.
Sims chips away with some ground and pound. Sims pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Sims is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sims lands a couple of decent looking shots. Sims lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sims lands a couple of elbows. Jones keeping full guard, as Sims tries to pass. Jones throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cru Jones's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Cru Jones's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
