0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dill Topdog! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whole scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Whole stands up. Topdog throws a wild body kick that Whole sees coming a mile off. Whole looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Topdog wants to improve his position but Whole is controlling well.
Whole stands up from half guard. Whole darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Whole is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Whole with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Whole seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Topdog for as long as he can get away with. Whole stops Topdog from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whole content to control rather than advance. Topdog punching from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Topdog actively working from the bottom here. Whole controlling the action here. Whole tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Whole is breathing heavily. Whole wants to pass the guard but Topdog is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Well, if Whole is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Topdog is pressing down on Whole's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Whole sitting in guard, not really doing much. Topdog kicks Whole off and gets to his feet. Topdog fails with the takedown and Whole counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Topdog is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Topdog controls Whole momentarily but Whole frees himself. Whole looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Whole wants to control from the top but Topdog keeps moving.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ace Whole just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Whole decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Whole passes to side control. Whole decides to take the fight back to the feet. Whole scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. A lull in the action here. Whole advances to full mount. Whole controlling from mount.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Ace Whole just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Topdog fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Whole checks it well. Dill Topdog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Topdog shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Whole counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Whole stands and steps away. Topdog gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Topdog looks to throw a body kick so Whole counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ace Whole dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Whole shoots in and drives through. Topdog sprawls well. Whole shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Whole was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Topdog is wriggling around trying to escape.
Topdog tries to lock up and control but Whole gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Topdog is squirming around, avoiding Whole's attempts to control the action. Ace Whole overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Topdog tries to get back to half guard but can't. Topdog is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Whole trying to control but he's not successful this time. Whole sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Topdog sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Topdog is staying active underneath Whole, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whole tries to pass the half guard into mount. Topdog knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Whole tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Topdog. Topdog is in trouble now - Whole has advanced to mount! Whole content just to control the position here. Whole stands up from mount. Strange move. Whole fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Topdog throws a leg kick but Whole sees it coming and moves out of range. Topdog wants to clinch and Whole counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Topdog! Whole looking to control and managing it successfully.

Whole wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it. Topdog is trying desperately to improve position. Whole controlling the position easily from mount. Whole get's back to his feet. Whole bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Whole tries to move into full mount but can't pass Topdog's legs. Topdog can't do much from the bottom here. Whole stands up. Ace Whole is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Topdog misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Topdog scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Topdog tries to clinch but Whole moves away and Whole counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Topdog! Topdog keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Whole looking to control and managing it successfully. Topdog wants to hold on but Whole pushes him away. Whole is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Topdog can do to turn this around?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Topdog is looking to improve his position but Whole isn't that keen on the idea. Whole is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Whole gets the takedown into side control. Whole tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Whole decides to take the fight back to the feet. Whole closes the distance and clinches up with Topdog, looking for a takedown. Whole pushes Topdog against the cage but Topdog circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ace Whole. That's going to take a lot out of him. Whole feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Whole slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Whole wants to control from the top but Topdog keeps moving. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Topdog throwing short punches from the bottom. Topdog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whole can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Whole decides to stand back up. Whole steps back and let's Topdog get back to his feet. Excellent takedown into side control there by Whole. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Topdog struggling a bit here. Topdog is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Whole's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Topdog wants to get back to full guard. Topdog is looking to control Whole's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Topdog avoid being mounted? Whole decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Topdog closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Whole changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Topdog looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Topdog being controlled for a moment. Whole tries to move into full mount but can't pass Topdog's legs. Whole in side control, just content to control the action for now. Topdog is trying to control Whole's posture but Whole avoids it. Whole just content to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whole has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Topdog scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Topdog in the domination position with Whole hanging on. Whole manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Whole is pressing down on Topdog's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dill Topdog has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Whole has control of Topdog's left arm, preventing Topdog from doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Topdog chips away with some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Ace Whole showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Whole, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
