Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eedor Femelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matti Nykanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Femelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by DORIME. Matti Nykanen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nykanen tries for a takedown but Femelianenko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Eedor Femelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Femelianenko wants to break free but Nykanen has control.
Nykanen pulls Femelianenko into guard.

You get the feeling that Femelianenko really doesn't like being in this position too much.

I really don't envy Femelianenko right now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Nykanen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Femelianenko closes the distance and clinches up with Nykanen, looking for a takedown. Femelianenko pushes Nykanen against the cage but Nykanen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nykanen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Femelianenko counters with a left and a right that stings Nykanen.

Nykanen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Femelianenko clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Nykanen is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Nykanen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Femelianenko is defending well though. Nykanen let's go of the attempt for now.

Nykanen is working for a rear naked choke. Femelianenko is not defending it well and Nykanen has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Femelianenko refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Femelianenko's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
