Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gahn Jah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rollin' - Limp Bizkit. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gahn Jah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tito Ortiz!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice combo by Jah! Oh, that's hurt him - Ortiz falls to the canvas and Jah follows him into side control.


Ortiz is rocked!


It looks like Tito Ortiz has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ortiz is not content to let Jah control the position.
Ortiz is still in real trouble! Can Jah finish him?
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Ortiz is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jah is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Jah content just to control the position here.
Ortiz seems to have recovered his senses.
Jah tries to control but Ortiz wriggling away.
Ortiz is in all sorts of trouble here.
Jah wants to control the pace but Ortiz is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ortiz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Jah lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Jah trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ortiz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Jah has control of Ortiz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ortiz regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jah lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ortiz hang on?

Jah lands a big shot there that rocks Ortiz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ortiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Gahn Jah just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jah leaves Ortiz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tito Ortiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice shot by Jah.
Nice body punch from Jah.
Jah lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jah lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jah tries for a takedown but Ortiz circles away easily

and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jah won't be happy with that.

Ortiz is putting a hurting on Jah here, landing some big shots from side control.
Jah tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ortiz is chipping away with strikes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gahn Jah dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Jah clobbers Ortiz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ortiz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ortiz slips a nice elbow through Jah's hands, connecting with Jah's forehead.
Jah is looking for a sweep. Ortiz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ortiz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jah with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Ortiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jah keeps working.
Jah is pressing down on Ortiz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ortiz postures up in Jah's guard and throws a big left but Jah blocks it.
Ortiz is looking to work some ground and pound but Jah has wrist control.
Ortiz trying to control but Jah is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jah throws a right hand that Ortiz ducks under and follows up with a left that Ortiz also avoids with ease.

A solid leg kick lands there for Jah.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jah throws a head kick that half lands.
Jah lands with a nice body punch.
Jah scores with a decent looking hook.
Ortiz slips a jab and a cross from Jah.
Gahn Jah is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jah with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jah misses with a series of wild punches.
Jah misses with a straight right.

Ortiz feints and as Jah raises his hands in defense, Ortiz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ortiz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ortiz with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jah wants to get back to his feet but Ortiz is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ortiz landing some decent shots from guard.
Jah trying to keep a closed guard but Ortiz is proving a slippery customer.
Ortiz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ortiz stopping the sweep attempt from Jah.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jah cracks Ortiz with a good jab.
Jah throws a right hand that Ortiz ducks under and follows up with a left that Ortiz also avoids with ease.
Jah tries to clinch but Ortiz moves out of range.

Ortiz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jah did well to prevent Ortiz getting side control.

Ortiz thows a huge punch but Jah dodges it nicely.

Jah tries to get to full guard but Ortiz has control of the leg.

Ortiz thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jah's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ortiz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jah finds it's way round the side to connect with Ortiz's head.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jah.
A slapping body kick lands there for Jah.
Jah with a jab.
Jah tries to clinch there but Ortiz circles away.
Jah will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jah misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ortiz closes the distance and clinches up with Jah, looking for a takedown. Ortiz pushes Jah against the cage but Jah circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ortiz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jah was covering up waiting for the punch and Ortiz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ortiz postures up and lands a big shot to Jah's brow.
Ortiz throws a big right hand that misses.
Ortiz is looking to work some ground and pound but Jah has wrist control.
Ortiz won't allow Jah to get back to his feet.
Ortiz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jah keeping moving, preventing Ortiz from controlling successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jah is looking to stand up but Ortiz isn't so interested in that idea.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tito Ortiz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Ortiz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jah is refusing to be controlled, as Ortiz sits in half guard.
Jah slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Jah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ortiz is one step ahead there.

Ortiz has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jah to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ortiz is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jah pulls down on the head and he's put Ortiz to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gahn Jah!
