Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BJ Hugo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huerta has chosen Summer of 69 as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hugo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hugo shoots in for a takedown but Huerta shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ron Huerta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hugo tries to keep at a distance but Huerta has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hugo tries to pull guard but Huerta holds him up against the cage and eventually Hugo drops back down to his feet.
Hugo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Huerta walks away with a smile on his face. Hugo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJ Hugo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Huerta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hugo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Huerta cracks Hugo with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Huerta looks up at the clock and then as Hugo takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Huerta smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Oh Hugo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Huerta in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Hugo looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Huerta turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
