Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gino Napolitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genocide Jaq (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gino Napolitano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genocide Jaq!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Napolitano blocks a head kick by Jaq.
Napolitano lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jaq at a distance.

Jaq darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Napolitano might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Napolitano tries to get to full guard but Jaq has control of the leg.
Napolitano wants to control but Jaq is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Napolitano tries to roll over but Jaq keeps him under control.
Napolitano preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Napolitano wants to control but Jaq is keeping busy.

It looks like Jaq is going to stand back up.
Napolitano is trying to control but can't.
Napolitano is looking for a sweep. Jaq is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jaq really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Napolitano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jaq blocks the body kick.
Jaq throws a right and a left that both miss.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Napolitano is looking to clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Napolitano is defended easily by Jaq.
Jaq lands with a nice combination. Napolitano backs away looking to recover.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Napolitano.
Napolitano is breathing heavily.
Napolitano trying to control the action but Jaq is working from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jaq can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jaq is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Napolitano has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Jaq's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Napolitano tries for a kimura but Jaq is defending well.
Jaq is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Napolitano asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jaq tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Napolitano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jaq closes the distance but Napolitano moves to the side

and Napolitano counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Napolitano.
Napolitano slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Jaq wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Napolitano is now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gino Napolitano dominated that round.

Napolitano misses with a takedown attempt
and Jaq counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Napolitano shoots in for a takedown but Jaq shows good takedown defense.
Napolitano looks to throw the jab but Jaq is out of range.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jaq!
Jaq lands a nice shot that snaps Napolitano's head back.

Jaq shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Napolitano napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jaq stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Jaq throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Napolitano was covering up waiting for the punch and Jaq finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Napolitano wants to get back to his feet but Jaq is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jaq is looking to stand up but Napolitano won't let him.
Napolitano not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jaq won't allow Napolitano to get back to his feet.
Napolitano working a defensive guard but Jaq manages to pass into side control anyway.
Napolitano tries to get back to half guard but can't.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Napolitano can't do much from the bottom here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Jaq misses with a double jab

and Napolitano counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jaq!
Napolitano avoids the attempt from Jaq to control.
Napolitano looking to control but Jaq is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jaq wants to get back to his feet.
Napolitano landing strikes from the mount.
Jaq tries to reverse the position but Napolitano maintains control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Napolitano tries to control but Jaq wriggling away.

Napolitano throwing strikes here but Jaq is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Napolitano gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genocide Jaq showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Jaq has his takedown stuffed
and Napolitano counters with a slapping leg kick.
Napolitano looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Jaq has closed the distance and engaged Napolitano in a clinch.
Jaq prevents the takedown attempt.
Napolitano manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Jaq's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Napolitano shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jaq manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Napolitano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jaq swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Jaq wants to sweep here but Napolitano controlling him for the moment.
Napolitano could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jaq trying to keep a closed guard but Napolitano is proving a slippery customer.
Jaq is adopting a defensive guard.
Napolitano won't allow Jaq to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jaq being controlled here, momentarily.
Napolitano throwing strikes from guard but Jaq blocks nicely.
Napolitano wants to control from the top but Jaq keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Napolitano changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jaq looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Jaq tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Napolitano wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jaq is working to avoid the ground and pound but Napolitano connects with a decent elbow.
Napolitano wants to control but Jaq is keeping him busy.
Gino Napolitano overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Napolitano goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jaq has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Napolitano but great work by Jaq.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jaq has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Jaq lands with a nice combination. Napolitano backs away looking to recover.
