Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sosa Escobar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Devine!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devine tries to clinch but Escobar is having none of it.

Devine tries to clinch up but Escobar circles away and keeps his distance.
Escobar avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Devine lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Devine throws a wild body kick that Escobar sees coming a mile off.

Escobar wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Devine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Escobar, who protects the arm well.

Devine looking to control but instead Escobar has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.

Devine decides to stand and escape the position.

Escobar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Sosa Escobar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Escobar throws a series of punches but Devine moves out of range.
Devine tries a head kick but it misses.

Devine gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Devine's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Devine tries to pull guard but Escobar holds him up against the cage and eventually Devine drops back down to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Devine dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Escobar closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Devine did well to prevent Escobar getting side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Escobar drops back, looking for a kneebar! Devine looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Devine looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Devine!

That was a close second round but I would say that Sosa Escobar will probably get the nod.
That's time! Escobar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Devine ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Escobar moves away.
Devine looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Devine tries to clinch up but Escobar circles away and keeps his distance.

Escobar is trying to force a seperation but Devine has the dominant position.

Devine avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Devine is trying to hold Escobar in close to prevent damage but Escobar has managed to pass into half guard.

Escobar is looking to advance position but Devine won't allow it.
Devine makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Devine.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The crowd cheers as Devine lands an impressive looking overhand right. Escobar doesn't seem phased though.
