Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phil Berry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azman Hazardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Berry kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tony Allen - Take Me Higher. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Berry throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hazardi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hazardi trying to control the position from guard on top but Berry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Berry has his hands on Hazardi's head, controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berry working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hazardi. Hazardi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hazardi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hazardi prevents Berry from getting back to his feet. Hazardi throwing strikes but missing. Berry wants to sweep here but Hazardi controlling him for the moment.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hazardi keeps the fight on the outside. Berry pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Berry shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Berry was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hazardi looks gassed! Hazardi is bucking up trying to escape but Berry cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Hazardi is in all sorts of trouble here.
Berry controlling the pace for now. Hazardi swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Berry blocks Hazardi's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Berry can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hazardi is looking to escape. That was a close round but I would say that Phil Berry will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Phil Berry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Berry lands with a right hand. Berry misses with an uppercut. Hazardi saw that one coming. Hazardi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Berry working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hazardi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hazardi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Berry will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hazardi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Berry's head. Hazardi wants to pass the guard but Berry is keeping the position. Berry wants to get back to his feet but Hazardi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters circling - Berry throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Berry tries to close the distance and clinch but Hazardi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Berry moves into range and connects with a jab. Berry bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Hazardi is rocked! Berry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Hazardi is still on wobbly legs! Can Berry finish him? Berry pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Berry throws a shot to the body.
Azman Hazardi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Berry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hazardi, pushing him back against the cage. Berry manages to break the clinch.
Hazardi switches off momentarily and Berry cracks him with a monster right hand! Hazardi topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Berry dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Berry!
