Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey De Andreas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Andreas has chosen Free Bird by Leonard Skynard as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Bower! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joey De Andreas! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Andreas has closed the distance and engaged Bower in a clinch.
Bower has De Andreas pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. De Andreas manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. De Andreas gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bower.

Bower is trying to force a seperation but De Andreas has the dominant position. Bower drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De Andreas gets the underhooks and prevents it.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! De Andreas moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. De Andreas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bower tries to clinch and De Andreas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by De Andreas. Bower is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Bower blocks an elbow strike. De Andreas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. De Andreas lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Bower closes the distance but De Andreas moves to the side and De Andreas counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bower looks to clinch and De Andreas counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Bower's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bower manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Bower is breathing heavily. De Andreas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
De Andreas kicks Bower off and gets back to his feet. De Andreas fails to land with a series of punches.
A right-left combo lands from De Andreas. De Andreas looks to land a combination but Bower avoids it well. De Andreas lands a nice shot that snaps Bower's head back.
De Andreas gets a clinch. Bower wants to get back to striking at distance but De Andreas won't allow it.

Bower wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but De Andreas has him pressed against the cage. Bower looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Andreas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. De Andreas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. De Andreas closes the distance and lands a one-two. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! De Andreas misses with a few strikes there.
De Andreas moves into range and clinches up with Bower. Bower jumps guard but De Andreas stands there with Bower around his waist. Bower gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Nice elbow from De Andreas. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bower tries to break the clinch but De Andreas is controlling the position. Bower tries for a takedown but De Andreas manages to get underhooks.
Bower tries to circle away but De Andreas has him pinned against the cage. De Andreas on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bower tries to grapple but his opponent circles and De Andreas counters with a lovely straight right hand! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bower closes the distance and clinches. De Andreas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bower's efforts to push away. De Andreas stops a takedown attempt from Bower.

That's two minutes gone in the round. De Andreas tries for a takedown but Bower sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. De Andreas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bower closes the distance but De Andreas moves to the side and De Andreas counters with a two punch combo. Bower throws a combination that misses and De Andreas counters with a lovely straight right hand! De Andreas closes the distance and clinches. Bower drops to a knee looking for a takedown but De Andreas gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bower is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Bower tries to throw a body punch but De Andreas avoids it by throwing Bower back against the cage. De Andreas stops a takedown attempt from Bower.
Bower takes an elbow to the temple. Bower tries to break the clinch but De Andreas is controlling the position. De Andreas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bower tries to grapple but his opponent circles and De Andreas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Matt Bower is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bower swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and De Andreas counters with a left and a right that hurts Bower! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! De Andreas jumps into full mount!
Bower is rocked! Bower takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! De Andreas's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
