The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasanen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Candy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Candy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Candy is stalling here. Pasanen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Candy seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pasanen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Pasanen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Candy, who protects the arm well.
Candy is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Pasanen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Candy moves into full guard.
Pasanen tries to free his leg and advance position but Candy is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Candy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pasanen is one step ahead there.
Candy lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pasanen!

Pasanen tries to reverse the position but Candy maintains control.
Pasanen tries to lock up and control but Candy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Lauri Pasanen's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
