Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Georges Laraque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beast has chosen Pass Out as his entrance music. The key to victory for Georges Laraque has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Laraque! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Beast! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beast is looking to clinch but Laraque is avoiding it.
Beast tries to clinch up. Laraque moves into the clinch. Beast breaks the clinch.
Beast misses with a series of wild punches.
Beast changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laraque tries to avoid it but Beast manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laraque to the ground. Laraque escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Laraque lands with a slapping head kick.
It looks like The Beast has been cut. Beast avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Laraque displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Beast slips under a jab from Laraque. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beast is defended easily by Laraque. Laraque throws a good cross that connects.
Laraque closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Laraque blocking some punches.
Laraque tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Beast smiles and moves away.
Laraque drives through and clinches with Beast against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast misses with a knee strike.
The is referee keeping an eye on Laraque - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Laraque breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Laraque shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beast but Beast pushes him off and we're back to square one. Beast has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laraque finds it's way round the side to connect with Beast's head. Beast closes the distance and clinches. Beast has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Laraque is trying to keep an underhook but Beast manages to get the takedown into half guard. Laraque is looking to improve his position.
Laraque gets full guard. Beast controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laraque trying to control the position.
Laraque wants to stand and escape but Beast is having none of it. Laraque is trying to keep Beast in close.
Beast wants to control from the top but Laraque keeps moving. Beast prevents Laraque from getting back to his feet. Laraque is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Beast shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Beast takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Laraque really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
A nice elbow there by Beast. Laraque sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beast missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Laraque looks like he's trying to stand up.
Beast not doing much here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beast prevents Laraque from standing back up.
Beast takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Laraque trying to control from the bottom.
Beast is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Beast content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Beast frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Georges Laraque will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on The Beast's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Beast looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Laraque blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beast. Beast prevents Laraque from standing back up.
Beast works his way into side control. Laraque tries to improve position but can't. Laraque is letting Beast control him for a moment. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast wants to lay and pray for a moment but Laraque keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beast works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Beast has knee on belly and moves into mount. Beast content just to control the position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Beast is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Laraque can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Laraque is trying to escape the mount.
Beast tries to control but Laraque wriggling away. Beast controlling the position easily from mount. Beast prevents Laraque from getting the reversal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beast looking for a guillotine from mount but Laraque is having none of it. Beast looking to control and managing it successfully.
Despite being in the dominant position, The Beast just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Laraque fails with the takedown and Beast counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Laraque's guard now. Beast sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Laraque's guard. Beast stalling. Beast is trying for a kimura here. Laraque looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Beast wins by kimura!
