Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcelo Dourado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Andreas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodrigo Andreas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dourado misses with the combination.

Andreas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dourado tries to avoid it but Andreas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dourado to the ground. Dourado escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Dourado throws a right hand that Andreas ducks under and follows up with a left that Andreas also avoids with ease.
Andreas misses with a takedown attempt - Dourado sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dourado goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Rodrigo Andreas has been cut.

Dourado lets loose with a powerful body kick. Andreas will feel that in the morning.
Dourado's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Dourado duly obliges.

Dourado tries to break free but Andreas pushes him back against the cage.

Rodrigo Andreas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dourado shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dourado stalks Andreas and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Andreas's face. Andreas staggers backwards, shaken.
Dourado dives in and grabs Andreas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Andreas pushes down on Dourado's head and hops out.
Dourado fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Andreas manages to avoid it.

Andreas fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dourado sprawls well initially but Andreas persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Andreas is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dourado defends it well.

and Dourado makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Dourado shoots in for a double leg but Andreas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Dourado throws a right and a left that Andreas avoids nicely.
Andreas fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dourado avoids it really well and circles away.
Dourado swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Andreas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dourado!

Andreas has gone for a leg lock! Dourado slips out almost immediately though and dives into Andreas's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dourado is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

This one could be over very soon! Dourado goes limp - he's gone! Andreas jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
