Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Brown might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nirvana - Lake of Fire. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a head kick.
Brown lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Brown drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brown pushing down on Anderson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Anderson is trying to control but Brown manages to pass to mount!
Anderson is desperately trying to improve his position but Brown has a good base and remains in mount.

Brown working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Anderson bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Anderson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Brown has his foot on Anderson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Anderson works his way back into a safe position though.

Anderson wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Anderson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Brown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Anderson is trying to keep Brown in close.
Anderson is striking off his back. Brown thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.

Brown is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Anderson is aware though and is defending well.
Brown manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Anderson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Brown is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Anderson is surviving well by controlling Brown's body position as best he can.
Anderson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Brown dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Anderson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Anderson has his takedown stuffed
and Brown counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Brown tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance.
Mike Brown is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Anderson shoots and misses

and Brown counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Anderson's guard now.
Mike Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Anderson.

Brown drops back looking for a leg! Anderson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Anderson manages to kick Brown off! Brown jumps back into Anderson's guard.

Brown is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet.

Anderson is controlling Brown's posture.
Brown postures up in Anderson's guard and throws a big left but Anderson blocks it.
Brown keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Anderson's head.

Brown drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brown jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anderson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anderson.
Brown misses with the combination.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Some bone on bone action there as Anderson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Brown circles away easily
and Brown counters with a nice uppercut.
Brown stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Anderson moves into the clinch.
Brown jumps guard but Anderson stands there with Brown around his waist. Brown gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Anderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brown pulls his leg out and moves away.

Brown feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brown makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Anderson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Anderson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Brown is pushing down on Anderson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Anderson is fighting to maintain full guard but Brown has managed to sneak the leg through.
Anderson makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Anderson.
Brown working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Anderson's head.

Mike Brown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Anderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.
Anderson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Anderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown catches Anderson with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Anderson uses from the top position.

Anderson has gone for a leg lock! Brown slips out almost immediately though and dives into Anderson's guard.
Greg Anderson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Brown won't allow Anderson to sweep him here.
Mike Brown is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Anderson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Brown has passed into half guard!

Mike Brown showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
