Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiawatha Street (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone misses with a takedown attempt - Street sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Street closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Street lands in his opponent's guard.
Street advances to half guard.
Street not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Stone wants to control but Street is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Street in particular looking to stall.
Street missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Street drops an elbow to the side of Stone's head.
Street lands strikes from half guard.
Street has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stone tries to roll over but Street keeps him under control.

Street looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Street seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stone does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Street drops an elbow to the side of Stone's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Street in particular looking to stall.
Street works his way into side control.
Stone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Street is staying tight to Stone's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Street creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Stone parries the strikes from Street easily there. Street is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stone to escape.
Street wants to control but Stone is keeping him busy.
Street lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Stone down.

The referee asks Street politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Street prefers to stall for the moment though.
Stone is trying to improve his position.
Street tries to advance to mount but can't.
Stone gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Stone is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Hiawatha Street just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Stone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Street gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Street trying to control but Stone postures up.
Street tries to roll over but Stone keeps him under control.
Stone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Street keeps working.

Stone is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Street has managed to free his arm - good work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stone lands a head kick. Street smiles back at him and beckons him forward.


It looks like Hiawatha Street has been cut.

Stone shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Stone thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Street is refusing to be controlled, as Stone sits in half guard.
Street is looking to improve his position.
Stone controlling the pace.

Street looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Street is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Street looking for submissions off his back.

Stone wants to free his trapped foot but Street is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Stone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Street!

Stone has control of Street's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Street regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Street is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Stone blocks Street's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

Stone prevents Street from getting the reversal.
Street is squirming around, avoiding Stone's attempts to control the action.
Street is in all sorts of trouble here.

Stone working for a submission but Street is keeping him at bay.
Street slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Street could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Street slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Stone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Street keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matthew Stone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Street decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Street seems content to control.

Street is working for a kimura but Stone is defending it quite comfortably.
Stone moves into full guard.
Street won't allow Stone to get back to his feet.
Street trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Street wants to pass the guard but Stone is keeping the position.

Stone wants to sweep here but Street controlling him for the moment.
Stone is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stone wants to clinch up but Street keeps it at a distance.
Hiawatha Street is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Street avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Street sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stone's guard.

Street passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Stone!

Street is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Street.

Stone is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Street thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stone's head.
Street looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Street is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Stone is staying active underneath Street, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Street wants to pass to mount but Stone is defending the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stone clinches but Street breaks the clinch

and Street counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stone won't be happy with that.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hiawatha Street showed his dominance in that final round.
