The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruten throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Riscatelli shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruten sprawls well. He's pushed Riscatelli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Riscatelli looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Riscatelli trying to control from half guard but Ruten is working away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Riscatelli works his way into side control.
Ruten is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Ruten tries to buck Riscatelli off but Riscatelli is having none of it.

Riscatelli is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ruten knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Ruten tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Riscatelli wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ruten throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.

Riscatelli looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Riscatelli in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Riscatelli has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ruten is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Riscatelli yanks on the arm and Ruten is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Riscatelli.
