Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mason Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morton Marshall Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Assasains. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Morton Marshall Matthews!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Mason Morgan has been cut.
Marshall Matthews throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Morgan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches.

Morgan is pushing Marshall Matthews up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Morgan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Marshall Matthews has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Morgan tries to close the distance and clinch but Marshall Matthews swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Marshall Matthews is looking to slow Morgan down with leg kicks.

and Marshall Matthews counters with a big head kick but Morgan shrugs it off.

Morgan forces Marshall Matthews back against the ropes and clinches.
Morgan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

A right hook to the body lands for Morgan.

Marshall Matthews escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Morgan tries to keep at a distance but Marshall Matthews has taken the fight into the clinch.
Marshall Matthews tries to stall but Morgan uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Morgan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Marshall Matthews working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Morgan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Morgan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Morgan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marshall Matthews swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The crowd cheers as Marshall Matthews lands an impressive looking overhand right. Morgan doesn't seem phased though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Morgan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marshall Matthews avoids it really well and circles away.
Oh Morgan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Morgan seems to have got his legs back now.

Marshall Matthews plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
The fighters circle, before Marshall Matthews throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Morgan's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Marshall Matthews lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
