Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nick Winner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Das Boot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winner's entrance music is Teenage Wasteland. A fine choice. Boot has chosen You Dont Know - 50 Cent as his entrance music. Das Boot is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Winner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Das Boot!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Boot misses with a wild body shot.
Boot throws a predictable looking body shot
and Winner makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Boot thows a body shot but no joy.
Winner slips a straight right by Boot.
Winner shoots in for a double leg but Boot sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Boot cracks the inside of Winner's front leg.
Boot throws a jab when Winner was well out of range.
Boot uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Winner has time to react.
Boot shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Boot waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Winner.
Boot misses with a hook to the body
and Winner counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Boot is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Danga de danga de dang - Boot scores with a four punch combination!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Winner shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Winner falls off balance throwing a combination
and Boot counters with a thumping low kick.
Boot throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Winner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Winner checks a leg kick.
Boot lands with a cross.
Boot throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Boot tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Winner was well out of range. Poor timing from Boot.
Boot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Winner needs to keep his hands up - Boot had a free shot at his head there.
Winner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Boot.
A head kick from Winner lands but Boot takes it in his stride.
Boot throws a leg kick
and Winner counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
A low kick from Boot misses

so Winner counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Winner looking to sit in guard and control but Boot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Boot trying to control but Winner is working from the bottom.
Boot throwing strikes from guard but Winner blocks nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boot trying to move into half guard but instead Winner has managed to sweep!
Boot has a closed guard, preventing Winner from standing up.
Boot tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Boot is trying to keep Winner in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Winner looking to sit in guard and control but Boot gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Winner wants to sweep here but Boot controlling him for the moment.
Winner is looking to stand back up but Boot counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Winner.
Winner is refusing to be controlled, as Boot sits in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Winner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Boot sprawls well initially but Winner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Winner dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Winner throws a leg kick that is checked
and Boot counters with a one-two to the body.
Winner gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Boot counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Boot in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Winner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Winner.
Boot closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nick Winner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boot throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Winner counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boot!

Boot tries to improve his position but Winner has taken his back! Winner has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Boot tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Winner pushes Boot away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nick Winner!
