Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Larry Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel has chosen Imma Do It as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Samuel! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Samuel will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Johnson gets caught flat footed, as Samuel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Samuel cracks Johnson with a solid left hand. Johnson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Johnson trying to control the position.
Samuel connects with a couple of short punches. Johnson throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Johnson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Samuel drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Johnson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Samuel has Johnson in his guard. Samuel trying to control the position.
Samuel seems keen to control Johnson's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Samuel manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Samuel is in the full mount, landing strikes. Samuel dominating with strikes here. Samuel lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Samuel prevents Johnson from getting the reversal. Samuel looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Johnson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Samuel on the ground. Samuel is going olschool here, as he tries to force Johnson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Johnson shrugs it off. Samuel looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson wants to control but Samuel is having none of it. Johnson can't escape the position.
The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Johnson tries to reverse the position but Samuel maintains control. Samuel throws some wild stikes that Johnson manages to avoid easily.
Samuel connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Samuel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Samuel lands a heavy elbow.
Johnson is rocked! Samuel working the ground and pound effectively.
Oh Johnson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Samuel working for a guillotine from mount but Johnson is in no mood to give up. Johnson seems to have got his legs back now.

Johnson is wriggling around trying to escape.
Johnson is trying to stand up. Johnson in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Samuel lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Johnson hang on? Samuel is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Johnson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Johnson!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Samuel trying to keep a closed guard but Johnson is proving a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Samuel can do anything to dispel that myth. Samuel keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Samuel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Johnson trying to control but Samuel is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Samuel is looking for a triangle but Johnson pushes his legs off easily.

George Samuel dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Samuel has a takedown stuffed. Samuel avoids the head kick by Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Samuel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Johnson but Johnson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samuel shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense. Larry Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Samuel. Samuel is breathing heavily. Johnson doesn't manage to clinch there - Samuel circles away.
Samuel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Samuel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Samuel avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Samuel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Johnson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Johnson prevents Samuel from improving his position. Samuel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Johnson is working away from the top position though. Samuel regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Johnson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel pulls Johnson in close to prevent any damage. Johnson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samuel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Johnson has managed to get both his arms back between Samuel's legs - danger averted. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Samuel gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Samuel thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Johnson controls Samuel momentarily but Samuel frees himself. Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Johnson keeping full guard, as Samuel tries to pass. Samuel stands up from guard. Let's bang! Johnson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Samuel's guard. Samuel is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Johnson wants to pass the guard but Samuel is keeping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Samuel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Johnson manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Larry Johnson will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Johnson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Samuel is one step ahead there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Samuel has gone for a leg lock! Johnson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Samuel's guard. Samuel wants to sweep but no luck. Johnson wants to stand but Samuel is controlling his posture from full guard. Johnson stopping the sweep attempt from Samuel. Johnson content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Samuel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Johnson has picked Samuel up and slammed him! Samuel can't keep hold of the triangle and Johnson manages to pass to side control! Johnson tries to score with some ground and pound. Samuel controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Samuel tries to improve position but can't. Samuel manages to get back to half guard. Samuel has his hands clasped together around Johnson's back. He's all about the action. Samuel is trying to stand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Samuel has hold of Johnson's hands but Johnson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Samuel manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Samuel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Johnson's guard. Samuel drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Samuel off! Samuel jumps back into Johnson's guard. Samuel trying to control but Johnson is working from the bottom.

Johnson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Samuel stopping the sweep attempt from Johnson.
And that's the end of the fight! George Samuel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Samuel has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
