Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kari Kimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dos Tomppa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Kimura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dos Tomppa!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Tomppa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tomppa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Tomppa wants to control the pace but Kimura is squirming around nicely.
Kimura wants to control but Tomppa is having none of it.
Tomppa throws some wild stikes that Kimura manages to avoid easily.
Kimura tries to reverse the position but Tomppa maintains control.
Tomppa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kimura is looking to escape.
Kimura tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Tomppa looking to control but Kimura is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kimura wants to control but Tomppa is having none of it.

Kimura is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kimura is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tomppa is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tomppa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dos Tomppa dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kimura tries a head kick but it misses.

Tomppa is breathing heavily.

Kimura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tomppa is aware though and is defending well.

Tomppa might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kimura kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Kimura had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tomppa is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Kimura Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tomppa's back instead.

Tomppa is having to fend off submission attempts from Kimura, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kimura doesn't have the hooks in though and Tomppa manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Tomppa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kimura has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tomppa has managed to get both his arms back between Kimura's legs - danger averted.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Kimura counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tomppa won't be happy with that.

Kimura clinches up with Tomppa and pushes him back against the cage.

Tomppa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kimura sprawls well initially but Tomppa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kimura has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tomppa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kimura has his feet on Tomppa's thighs here. He's pushed Tomppa off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Tomppa screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
