Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vinicius Zandonadi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tefy Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vinicius Zandonadi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tefy Machado!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zandonadi tries to close the distance and clinch but Machado swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Zandonadi moves in looking to clinch but Machado pushes him off.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zandonadi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Machado throws a head kick but Zandonadi moves out of range.
Machado closes the distance and pushes Zandonadi back into the cage.
Machado is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zandonadi can't fight it off and eventually Machado manages to take the fight to the floor. Zandonadi looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zandonadi keeping moving, preventing Machado from controlling successfully.
Zandonadi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Zandonadi pushes Machado off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Zandonadi closes the distance looking to clinch
and Machado counters with a two punch combo.
Zandonadi closes the distance but Machado moves to the side
and Machado decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Zandonadi's guard.
Zandonadi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Machado has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Zandonadi wants to stand up but Machado is controlling him.
Machado won't allow Zandonadi to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Machado working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Machado is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zandonadi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Machado on the ground.
Machado working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Zandonadi's head.
Zandonadi looking for a sweep. Not yet Zandonadi, not yet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Zandonadi tries to clinch up
and Machado counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Zandonadi doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Machado's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Machado accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Zandonadi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Machado drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Machado seems to have locked his on tight now - Zandonadi screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Machado, as he picks up the win!
