PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Sanderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Larkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Larkin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I'm Shipping Up To Boston kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Sanderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Larkin!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larkin misses with a two punch combination.
Larkin loads up on a big right hand but Sanderson slips the punch.
Sanderson fails with a takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanderson.
Larkin wants to get back to his feet but Sanderson drags him back down.
Sanderson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Sanderson tries to advance to mount but Larkin denies him.
Sanderson wants to control but Larkin is keeping him busy.
Larkin is trying to buck Sanderson off.

Larkin dodges the ground and pound from Sanderson.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Sanderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Larkin tries to buck Sanderson off but Sanderson is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Larkin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sanderson has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Larkin manages to work his way to half guard, despite Sanderson's best efforts.

Sanderson is breathing heavily.

Larkin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Larkin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanderson's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanderson's back!
You can see the frustration on Sanderson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

That was a close round but I would say that Ben Sanderson will probably get the nod.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ben Sanderson will probably get the nod.

Sanderson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Larkin manages to avoid it.
Larkin drops Sanderson with a huge uppercut! Sanderson drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Larkin is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
