The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooh a lovely combination from Tiquia sends GRACIE down but not out. Tiquia dives into side control looking to finish.
GRACIE is rocked!
It looks like ROYCKSON GRACIE has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tiquia tries to advance to mount but can't.
Oh GRACIE is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tiquia just content to control the position.
GRACIE is looking for a sweep.
GRACIE seems to have got his legs back now.
Tiquia tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
GRACIE throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
GRACIE tries to buck Tiquia off but Tiquia is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ground and pound from Tiquia seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Tiquia tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Tiquia shoots in but no luck this time.
Tiquia feints and as GRACIE raises his hands in defense, Tiquia changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tiquia looks gassed!
GRACIE pushes a forearm under Tiquia's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tiquia is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
