Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mic Wyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Smokestack Lighting - Howlin' Wolf. Mic Wyn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mic Wyn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donnie James! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wyn closes the distance and clinches up with James, looking for a takedown. Wyn pushes James against the cage but James circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. James tries a head kick but it misses.
A punch combination from James misses. Wyn throws a combination that misses and James holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. James wants to stall.
James is fighting off a takedown attempt but Wyn is just too persistent for him and manages to trip James to the mat. James regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Wyn keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of James's head. James controls Wyn momentarily but Wyn frees himself. James pushes Wyn off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Wyn blocks a head kick by James.
Wyn lands a lovely overhand right. Wyn misses with a wild combination.
James lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wyn circles away quickly and effectively. James looks gassed! Wyn tries to bum rush James with a series of wild strikes but James uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wyn connects with a single shot there. Some wild striking there from Wyn.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot by Wyn. Wyn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but James swivels and escapes. Wyn swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Wyn shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. James is trying to defend but Wyn finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if James can do anything to dispel that myth. Wyn thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Wyn performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Wyn tries to pass to full mount but James defends it. James is staying active underneath Wyn, who seems content to just control the action from this position. James regains full guard. Nicely done. Wyn looking to sit in guard and control but James gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wyn wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment. James looking to pass the guard. James stopping the sweep attempt from Wyn. Wyn striking off his back but it's not causing James any problems.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Wyn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and James counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mic Wyn. That's going to take a lot out of him. James trying to control but Wyn is working from the bottom. James stands and steps away. Wyn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Wyn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mic Wyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wyn. James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wyn pinned against the cage. Wyn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wyn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. James is desperately trying to improve his position but Wyn has a good base and remains in mount. James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wyn punishing his opponent with strikes. Wyn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as James is looking to escape. Wyn lands a heavy elbow. Wyn unloading with bombs! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. James is desperately trying to improve his position but Wyn has a good base and remains in mount. Wyn landing strikes from the mount and James is in trouble! Wyn landing shots from mount. Wyn lands with some vicious ground and pound - can James hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jab from Wyn. Horrible takedown by Wyn or perhaps it was just good defense by James which made him look bad. Wyn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but James moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Wyn throws a combination. James tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from James. Wyn connects with a body shot. Wyn throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and James counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

James tries to close the distance and clinch but Wyn swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James slips a jab and a cross from Wyn.
Wyn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and James counters with a nice leg kick. James fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wyn sprawls well initially but James persists and gets the takedown into half guard. James escapes and gets back to his feet. Wyn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wyn fails with the takedown and James counters with an outside leg kick.

Wyn tries to roll over but James keeps him under control. James stands up and beckons Wyn to join him on the feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wyn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wyn swats him away and circles back towards the center. Wyn looks to land a combination but James avoids it well. James looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. James misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

James takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. James shoots in for a takedown but Wyn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wyn drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. James wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! James struggling a bit here. James is looking to reverse the position. Wyn connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused James some visible discomfort.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. James misses with a head kick.

James gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Wyn trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. James controls Wyn momentarily but Wyn frees himself. Wyn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for James on the ground. Wyn wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Donnie James. I think James has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
