Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Gushlan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gushlan comes to the cage accompanied by Radical Advert. Marko Gushlan is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gushlan closes the distance and pushes Penn back into the cage.
Gushlan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Penn wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Gushlan has him pressed against the cage.
Penn wants to break the clinch but can't.
Penn is trying to break the clinch but Gushlan is controlling him.

Gushlan pulls guard.
Gushlan controls Penn momentarily but Penn frees himself.
Penn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gushlan is proving hard to escape from.

Gushlan shoots in for a double leg but Penn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gushlan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Penn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gushlan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Penn as he avoids it easily.

Penn looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Penn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gushlan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Penn uses his free foot to push down on Gushlan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gushlan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gushlan tries to buck Penn off but he can't manage it.

Gushlan is squirming around, avoiding Penn's attempts to control the action.
Gushlan sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Penn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gushlan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Penn can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gushlan is looking to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Penn fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Gushlan is looking to improve his position but Penn isn't that keen on the idea.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Penn counters by moving into the clinch.
Penn wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gushlan tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gushlan keeps control of Penn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Penn lands a big shot there that rocks Gushlan but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gushlan is bucking up trying to escape but Penn cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Penn wants to control the pace but Gushlan is squirming around nicely.

BOOM! Penn connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Penn. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Gushlan tries to lock up and control but Penn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Penn is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Gushlan can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Penn avoids the attempt from Gushlan to control.

Penn is going olschool here, as he tries to force Gushlan to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gushlan shrugs it off.

Penn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gushlan is working an open guard so Penn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Penn cracks Gushlan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Chris Penn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gushlan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Penn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Penn manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Penn gets to his feet. Gushlan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
