Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Jay Kinrog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes to the cage accompanied by Sympathy for the Devil. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Redman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Kinrog tries to clinch up. Kinrog tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Redman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kinrog swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Redman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kinrog throws a low kick but Redman avoids it. Kinrog darts in and clinches Redman up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinrog comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Kinrog breaks the clinch.
Kinrog fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jay Jay Kinrog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Redman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kinrog sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Redman swats away the attempt to clinch by Kinrog.
That's one minute gone in the round. Redman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kinrog napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kinrog tries to improve position but can't. Kinrog wants to get back to his feet but Redman drags him back down. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Redman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kinrog knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Redman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kinrog avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Redman. Kinrog is looking for a sweep. Redman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kinrog is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Redman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Redman controls the position. Kinrog is looking to regain half guard here but Redman keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. No luck for Redman with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Redman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kinrog throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Kinrog gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Redman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kinrog's guard. Redman connects with a couple of short punches. Redman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kinrog knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Redman misses with a takedown attempt and Kinrog counters with an inside leg kick. Redman is breathing heavily. Redman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kinrog counters with a body kick. Kinrog tries to clinch up. Kinrog tries to clinch up. Kinrog shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Redman regains full guard. Nicely done. Kinrog postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kinrog trying to control the position from guard on top but Redman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Redman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

A big left from Kinrog misses. Kinrog is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Redman doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kinrog counters with a slapping leg kick. Kinrog throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Redman with a lazy takedown attempt and Kinrog counters by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kinrog has Redman pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kinrog pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Redman tumbling to the mat - Kinrog dives into Redman's guard. Kinrog wants to control from the top but Redman keeps moving. Redman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kinrog really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Redman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Redman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kinrog must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kinrog has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Redman is proving hard to escape from. Redman looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kinrog wants to control from the top but Redman keeps moving. Kinrog in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Redman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kinrog gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kinrog missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Redman keeping moving, preventing Kinrog from controlling successfully. Redman wants to sweep here but Kinrog controlling him for the moment.

Kinrog rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Redman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Redman misses with a takedown and Kinrog counters with a left and a right that stings Redman. Kinrog chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kinrog shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Redman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kinrog's guard. Kinrog keeping moving, preventing Redman from controlling successfully. Redman postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redman is working Kinrog over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Redman advances position into side control! Redman throwing shots but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Kinrog's face as Redman controls the position. Kinrog is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Redman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Redman works his way into full mount! Redman landing punches. Redman trying to control but Kinrog is having none of it. Kinrog is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Johnny Redman dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kinrog wants to clinch up but Redman keeps it at a distance. Kinrog closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kinrog lands in his opponent's guard. Redman is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Redman working Kinrog over with strikes. Kinrog has hold of Redman's hands but Redman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kinrog won't allow Redman to pass to mount. Kinrog is looking for a sweep. Redman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Redman is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kinrog looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kinrog is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Redman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kinrog throws the left hand but Redman avoids the punch easily. Redman avoids the head kick by Kinrog.
Kinrog closes the distance looking to clinch so Redman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kinrog looking to control.
Kinrog is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Johnny Redman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Redman drops back looking for a leg! Kinrog is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kinrog manages to kick Redman off! Redman jumps back into Kinrog's guard. Kinrog keeping moving, preventing Redman from controlling successfully. Kinrog avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Redman wants to pass the guard but Kinrog is keeping the position. Redman lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kinrog has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Redman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kinrog doesn't manage to clinch there - Redman circles away.
Jay Jay Kinrog is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A head kick misses from Kinrog. Kinrog lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kinrog throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Redman with a poor takedown and Kinrog counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Redman gets full guard. Redman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kinrog gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kinrog sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Redman's guard. Kinrog is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Redman gets back to full guard.
Redman pulls Kinrog in to control the position. Redman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kinrog doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kinrog manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kinrog trying to control but Redman is working from the bottom. Redman working a defensive guard here.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Redman. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Redman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
