Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mercury Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Vasiliev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, .. Vasiliev is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hate me now. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Vasiliev checks a leg kick.
Jones throws a series of punches but Vasiliev moves out of range.
Vasiliev avoids a punch combination nicely.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Vasiliev.
Vasiliev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Vasiliev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Mercury Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Vasiliev.

Vasiliev has Jones pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vasiliev pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jones tumbling to the mat - Vasiliev dives into Jones's guard.
Vasiliev wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jones has his foot on Vasiliev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vasiliev works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vasiliev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Vasiliev is sitting in close to Jones's body. Jones has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Vasiliev is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Vasiliev is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Jones.
