Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shock Wave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and piroa selcinji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
selcinji closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - selcinji lands in his opponent's guard.
selcinji trying to control the position from guard on top but Wave is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Wave will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Wave working a defensive guard but selcinji passes into half guard.
selcinji really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wave. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Well, if selcinji is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

selcinji working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

selcinji is looking for a kimura but Wave is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for selcinji to get the leverage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
selcinji changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wave tries to avoid it but selcinji manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wave to the ground. Wave escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
piroa selcinji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wave moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Wave as selcinji shoots in.
selcinji will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Shock Wave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of piroa selcinji.

Wave cracks selcinji with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

selcinji dives in and grabs Wave's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wave pushes down on selcinji's head and hops out.

Wave ducks down and throws a hook to the body but selcinji moves away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if selcinji can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wave has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of selcinji is proving hard to escape from.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. selcinji lands a nice short elbow.
selcinji is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Wave reverses the position - he's now on top in selcinji's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Horrible takedown by selcinji or perhaps it was just good defense by Wave which made him look bad.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

piroa selcinji showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Wave lands a good knee to the midsection. selcinji won't want to take too many of those.
selcinji wants the takedown. Wave is fighting it off but selcinji persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Wave's guard against the cage.

Wave is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Wave is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
selcinji wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wave keeps working.
Wave pushes selcinji off and gets back to his feet.
Wave throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
selcinji throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wave was covering up waiting for the punch and selcinji finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Wave wants to get back to his feet but selcinji is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
And that's the end of the fight!
piroa selcinji comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got selcinji winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
