Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Baxter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerald Young I (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ronnie Baxter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Gerald Young I!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baxter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Young I.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Young I.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baxter taking a bit of punishment here - Young I scoring with strikes.
Baxter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Young I postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Young I is looking to take a break and control but Baxter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Young I tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Young I has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Young I stops Baxter from getting back to his feet.

Young I is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Young I prevents Baxter from standing back up.

Young I is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Young I is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Baxter defends it well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Young I drops an elbow to the side of Baxter's head.

Young I drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Young I must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Baxter is working an open guard so Young I takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Young I closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Young I wants to work for an arm triangle but Baxter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Still in half guard, Young I seems content to control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Young I is nestled in close to Baxter, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Young I landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Young I really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Baxter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Young I shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee warns Baxter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Young I goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Baxter turns into him and now he's in Young I's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Young I holds on and takes a little breather.
Young I looking for a sweep. Not yet Young I, not yet.

Gerald Young I showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Young I decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baxter, up you get!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Young I drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Young I jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Young I controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Ronnie Baxter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Baxter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Young I chips away with some ground and pound.
Young I works over Baxter with some ground and pound from guard.
Young I with a nice head shot there.
Gerald Young I is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Young I stays in close to Baxter's body and controls the position.

Gerald Young I comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Young I has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
