Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Fraiser! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, JP Lopez! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lopez shoots in for a takedown but Fraiser shows good takedown defense. Lopez misses with a takedown attempt - Fraiser sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fraiser decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Fraiser looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Fraiser is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fraiser prevents Lopez from improving his position. Fraiser trying to control the action but Lopez is working from the bottom.

Fraiser is looking for a kimura but Lopez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Fraiser to get the leverage. Fraiser is thwarting Lopez's attempts to control the position. Fraiser thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fraiser looking to pass the guard. Lopez has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Fraiser tries to free his leg and advance position but Lopez is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lopez misses with the combination.
Fraiser shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fraiser was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Fraiser blocks Lopez's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Lopez working to try and regain half guard.

Lopez is looking to improve his position but Fraiser isn't that keen on the idea. Fraiser is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Lopez is in real trouble.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fraiser is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Lopez is defending well though. Fraiser let's go of the attempt for now. Lopez wants to escape the position but for the time being he's just trying to control the pace. Fraiser has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Lopez trying to control the hands but Fraiser breaks the grip. Lopez defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Fraiser's arms. Lopez rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Tim Fraiser dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lopez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Fraiser decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lopez is trying to maintain the position but Fraiser is very close to passing his half guard. Fraiser prevents Lopez from improving his position. Lopez is trying to control but can't.

Fraiser wants to take a breather but Lopez is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fraiser is just content to waste time from the top position. Lopez takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Fraiser with a poor takedown and Lopez counters with a straight right hand. Lopez missing with a left hand there. Fraiser was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Fraiser misses with a takedown and Lopez counters with a shoot takedown. Fraiser fights it but they end up in guard. Lopez trying to control the position from guard on top but Fraiser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fraiser is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lopez is aware though and is defending well. Lopez pushing down on Fraiser's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Lopez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fraiser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Fraiser actively working from the bottom here. Lopez wants to control but Fraiser is keeping him busy. Fraiser is looking to control Lopez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fraiser avoid being mounted?

Fraiser sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. JP Lopez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Fraiser's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Lopez connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Lopez thows a body shot but no joy. Fraiser with a lazy takedown attempt and Lopez moves into the clinch. Lopez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Fraiser clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Fraiser is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lopez controlling the position well here. Fraiser rolled but Lopez kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lopez lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Fraiser hold on?!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fraiser looking for a guillotine here but Lopez defends easily.
