Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Davie Philip! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donyell Walker! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Walker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Philip is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Walker postures up.
Walker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Walker trying to stand up but can't free himself from Philip's guard. Philip is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Philip wants to control but Walker passes easily into half guard.
Walker prevents Philip from improving his position. Walker is working for a submission of some sort.
Philip is trying to stand back up but Walker is controlling him

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Philip misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Philip gets a clinch. Walker works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Walker landing with the ground and pound. Philip wants to stand and escape but Walker is having none of it. Walker has gone for a leg lock! Philip slips out almost immediately though and dives into Walker's guard. Philip wants to get up but he can't break Walker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Philip stands up from Walker's guard - Philip perhaps looking for a knockout. Walker throws a quick inside leg kick. Philip is breathing heavily. Walker misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Walker closes the distance and pushes Philip back into the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker pulls Philip into guard.
Walker looking for a sweep. Not yet Walker, not yet. Walker throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Philip is posturing up here but Walker has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Philip tries to roll out but it's too tight and Philip has to tap! Slick submission there by Walker!
