Manners tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Patrick Diccico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manners tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Diccico stuffs the takedown attempt from Manners. Manners gets slowly back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Diccico, as that shot connected.
It looks like Jacob Manners has been cut.
Manners throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Manners shoots in for a takedown but Diccico shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Diccico tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manners swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Manners shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Diccico sprawls well. Diccico wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Manners gets slowly back to his feet.

and Manners decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Diccico's guard.
Diccico manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Diccico is breathing heavily.
Manners keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Manners tries to hold on but Diccico postures up.
Diccico stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Diccico misses the target.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Manners drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Diccico manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Manners has Diccico in his guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Manners is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Diccico is controlling him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Diccico will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jacob Manners's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Manners looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Diccico!
Manners takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Diccico manages to reverse the position and now he's in Manners's guard. Nice work there by Diccico.
Manners wants to hit a switch here but Diccico passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Manners there!
Manners can't escape the position.

Manners is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Diccico wants to finish this one by submission but Manners is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Diccico.
Manners tries to control Diccico's head but Diccico pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Manners is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
