Runqvist has chosen NaS - You can hate me now as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Doe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Palle Runqvist's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Runqvist looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Doe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Runqvist uses his free foot to push down on Doe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Doe.
Runqvist is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Doe can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Runqvist is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Doe has escaped the position, nice work there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Runqvist is working to tighten is grip on Doe's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Doe has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Runqvist is really squeezing tight and eventually Doe passes out! Runqvist breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
