Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Beardsmore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Christopher Turkelton! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turkelton decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Turkelton seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beardsmore does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Still in half guard, Turkelton seems content to control. Beardsmore knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turkelton on the ground. Turkelton is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Beardsmore is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Christopher Turkelton!
