Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Dutra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Durham! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Dutra! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durham dodges the punch combination from Dutra.
Dutra swings for the body but Durham moves out of range.
Dutra fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Durham checks it well. Dutra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. No joy there for Dutra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dutra throws a body punch but Durham moves out of range. Dutra throws a series of punches but Durham avoids them all with ease. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dutra throws a head kick but Durham moves out of range.
Durham avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Dutra jabs at Durham's body. Durham fails with a takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown by Durham or perhaps it was just good defense by Dutra which made him look bad. Daniel Dutra is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Durham shoots for a takedown but Dutra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Durham. That's going to take a lot out of him. A nice leg kick lands there from Dutra. Dutra throws a head kick but Durham moves out of range.

Durham shoots in but no luck this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Durham shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dutra napping and manages to drive through into side control! Durham wants to control but Dutra is keeping him busy. Durham controls the position. Dutra is not content to let Durham control the position. A lull in the action here as Durham stalls from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Dutra dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Durham. Durham checks a low kick from Dutra. Dutra goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Durham takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Dutra defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durham. Durham dives in and grabs Dutra's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dutra pushes down on Durham's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Durham. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Durham closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dutra to the mat! Dutra manages to get full guard. Durham not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durham stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dutra swivels though and keeps the full guard. Durham is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Durham sitting in guard, not really doing much. Durham is pushing down on Dutra's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dutra is fighting to maintain full guard but Durham has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Durham is looking to take a break and control but Dutra is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Durham passes the guard and advances to mount! Durham could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Durham is looking to work his way around to Dutra's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. Durham controlling the position easily from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Dutra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Dutra throws a looping overhand right but Durham ducks down to avoid it. Daniel Dutra seems to be getting the better of the standup. Durham blocks a low kick nicely. Dutra lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dutra pulls out of a head kick attempt.

He catches Dutra napping and manages to drive through into side control! Durham taking a breather here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durham wants to control but Dutra is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durham is really struggling to control Dutra but he's trying to hold on to the position. Durham is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Dutra knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Dutra struggling a bit here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dutra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Durham fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Daniel Dutra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dutra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Durham gets a takedown into half guard. Durham is keen to just control but Dutra is a slippery customer. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
