Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Babbage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iain Durrant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Charles Babbage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Iain Durrant! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durrant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Babbage as he avoids it easily. Durrant throws out a loose jab but Babbage uses good head movement to avoid it. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Durrant takes one to the side of the head.
Durrant shoots in and drives through. Babbage sprawls well. Babbage scores with a crisp jab that stopped Durrant in his tracks.
It looks like Iain Durrant has been cut. No luck for Durrant with that takedown attempt. Charles Babbage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iain Durrant. Babbage lands a head shot. Durrant takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Durrant is rocked! Babbage feints and then cracks Durrant's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Durrant down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durrant chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Babbage can pounce on him.
Durrant takes a jab right on the kisser.
Durrant is still on wobbly legs! Can Babbage finish him? Horrible takedown by Durrant or perhaps it was just good defense by Babbage which made him look bad. Babbage connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Durrant seems to have recovered his senses. Charles Babbage is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Babbage throws a sloppy head kick and Durrant moves out of range easily. Durrant takes a jab right on the kisser.
Babbage lands with a hook. Durrant tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Babbage stuffs the takedown. Babbage connects with the punch. Durrant on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Babbage. Babbage obviously looking to wear him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Babbage lands a nice leg kick that just misses Durrant's sensitive parts. Durrant looks gassed! Babbage comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Babbage scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Durrant doesn't seem bothered though. Durrant takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Durrant gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Durrant is trying desperately to land a takedown but Babbage is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Durrant.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Babbage dips to his left and cracks Durrant with an uppercut! Babbage throws a right and a left that Durrant avoids nicely. Babbage is looking to slow Durrant down with leg kicks. Durrant needs to keep his hands up - Babbage had a free shot at his head there. Babbage fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Babbage buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Durrant has a takedown stuffed. Durrant sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Babbage scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Babbage swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Durrant fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Babbage looks to land a combination but Durrant avoids it well. Babbage lands with a slapping head kick. Babbage drops Durrant with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Durrant! Babbage dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (strikes). Charles Babbage!
