Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Douglas Trinidad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cesar Cueto!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trinidad swats away the attempt to clinch by Cueto.
Trinidad blocks a head kick by Cueto.
Cueto misses with a wild combination.
Trinidad fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Trinidad shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cueto manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Trinidad scoring with some ground and pound.

Cueto wants to stand and escape but Trinidad is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cueto kicks Trinidad off and gets to his feet.
Cueto tries to clinch but Trinidad is having none of it.
Cueto throws a body punch but Trinidad moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cueto leaves Trinidad with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cueto lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Trinidad is breathing heavily.
Cueto will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Trinidad shoots for a takedown but Cueto saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Douglas Trinidad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cueto thuds his shin into the meat of Trinidad's side.
Cesar Cueto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cueto throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cueto circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Trinidad drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Cueto follows Trinidad to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
