Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mashiba Ruy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaka Zulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mashiba Ruy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaka Zulu! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zulu tries to clinch up but Ruy circles away and keeps his distance. Ruy fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ruy keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ruy shoots in for a takedown but Zulu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Ruy shoots in for a double leg but Zulu sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mashiba Ruy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Zulu moves in looking to clinch but Ruy pushes him off. Zulu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ruy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zulu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ruy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Ruy wants to control but Zulu postures up. Ruy misses with a strike from the bottom. Zulu controlling from side mount. Ruy is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Zulu is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Zulu controlling his opponent. Ruy is controlling an arm, preventing Zulu from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Zulu fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Zulu connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Zulu working Ruy over with strikes here. Zulu landing punches. Zulu controlling the position easily from mount. Ruy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ruy is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Zulu locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Ruy is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shaka Zulu!
