Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takeshi Kaneshiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Paniikki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Takeshi Kaneshiro has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Kaneshiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pekka Paniikki!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Kaneshiro.
Kaneshiro throws a head kick that misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Paniikki.
Kaneshiro lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Paniikki drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Paniikki controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Paniikki throwing strikes but missing.
Paniikki wants to control from the top but Kaneshiro keeps moving.
Paniikki stays in close to Kaneshiro's body and controls the position.

Paniikki thows a big elbow that misses.
Kaneshiro wants to get back to his feet but Paniikki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Kaneshiro goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Paniikki blocks an elbow strike from Kaneshiro.
Paniikki wants a takedown.
Kaneshiro misses with an elbow over the top.
Kaneshiro gets through Paniikki's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Paniikki goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kaneshiro prevents it.
Takeshi Kaneshiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pekka Paniikki.
Kaneshiro is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kaneshiro lands a hook that snaps the head of Paniikki backwards.

Kaneshiro can't break the clinch.
Paniikki avoids the elbow strike from Kaneshiro, against the cage.
Paniikki turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Paniikki manages to end up in side control.

Kaneshiro parries the strikes from Paniikki easily there. Paniikki is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kaneshiro to escape.
Paniikki is chipping away with strikes.
Paniikki advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kaneshiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Paniikki on the ground.

Kaneshiro is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Paniikki unloads with some shots from mount but Kaneshiro bucks and avoids them well.
Paniikki misses with a head shot.
Paniikki throws some wild stikes that Kaneshiro manages to avoid easily.
Kaneshiro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Paniikki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Paniikki thowing shots but they're missing.
Kaneshiro trying desperately to get to his feet.
Paniikki scoring with strikes but Kaneshiro is staying in there.
Paniikki lands with some strikes.
Paniikki lands a big elbow.
Paniikki tries to control but Kaneshiro wriggling away.
Kaneshiro's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pekka Paniikki dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kaneshiro tries to clinch up but Paniikki circles away and keeps his distance.
Kaneshiro throws a nice head kick!
Kaneshiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Paniikki closes the distance and clinches up with Kaneshiro, looking for a takedown. Paniikki pushes Kaneshiro against the cage but Kaneshiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A head kick from Kaneshiro lands but Paniikki takes it in his stride.
Kaneshiro goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Paniikki is rocked!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kaneshiro! Paniikki is out on his feet! Kaneshiro rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Paniikki is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Paniikki is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takeshi Kaneshiro!
