Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Alexis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ervic Thaler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexis comes to the cage accompanied by Bring the Noise -Anthrax. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Alexis.
Alexis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mason Alexis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thaler avoids the head kick by Alexis.
Alexis lands a nice hook to Thaler's body. Thaler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Good exchange - Alexis coming out on top.
Alexis throws a shot to the body.
Alexis throws a push kick but Thaler slaps the foot to one side.
Thaler closes the distance and clinches up with Alexis, looking for a takedown. Thaler pushes Alexis against the cage but Alexis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Alexis wants to clinch.
Thaler moves forwards but Alexis connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Thaler throws a shot from downtown. Alexis moves away and avoids it.
Thaler misses with a takedown attempt - Alexis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Thaler looks gassed!

Alexis lands with a kick to the temple. Thaler shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Alexis with a poor takedown
and Thaler counters with a left and a right that stings Alexis.
Alexis lands a nice shot that snaps Thaler's head back.
Thaler shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Alexis counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thaler thinking.
Mason Alexis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ervic Thaler.
Alexis connects with a looping right hand.
Whack! Alexis lands a heavy head kick that drops Thaler. The ref tackles Alexis to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Thaler was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Mason Alexis!
