Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between killa hoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and adan martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). hoe is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that adan martinez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hoe looks to land a combination but martinez avoids it well.
hoe is breathing heavily.

hoe swats away the attempt to clinch by martinez.
martinez feints and as hoe raises his hands in defense, martinez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
martinez forces his way into half guard.

hoe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for martinez on the ground.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and martinez makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

hoe tries to bum rush martinez with a series of wild strikes but martinez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

hoe moves in looking to clinch but martinez pushes him off.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
hoe throws a nice looking combination but martinez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

martinez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with hoe but hoe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

hoe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from martinez.

and martinez counters with a single leg into guard. hoe didn't expect that.
hoe wants to stand but martinez is controlling the position.
hoe doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
hoe has his foot on martinez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. martinez works his way back into a safe position though.
hoe wants to get back to his feet but martinez passes into half guard.
hoe is pressing down on martinez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
martinez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and martinez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
hoe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. martinez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for hoe.

martinez decides to stand up, so the ref orders hoe to his feet.

killa hoe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

hoe is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst martinez is controlling him.
hoe wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
hoe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in martinez's guard.

hoe had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. martinez is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. hoe Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take martinez's back instead.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
hoe lands an elbow to the side of the head.
martinez is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if hoe gets his way!
hoe has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for martinez.
hoe throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting martinez!
martinez grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
martinez tries to break free.
hoe wants to control but martinez is keeping busy.
hoe goes for a risky armbar from back mount and it's not paid off. martinez escapes and is now in half guard on top.

martinez is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for hoe!

martinez is going olschool here, as he tries to force hoe to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so hoe shrugs it off.
martinez fails to take his opponent's back.
hoe tries to lock up and control but martinez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
hoe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

hoe reaches up to try and control the position but martinez seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! hoe rolls and tries to escape and now martinez has his back!

adan martinez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
hoe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but martinez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now hoe has martinez in his guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to killa hoe.
I think martinez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
